No. The InMySteps Internship program is offered at NO COST to the intern. NO FEE is charged for application, joining, participation or any other stage in the programme.
You can put in your application when the application window opens in Feb-March and July-August of every year. All applications must be made in the prescribed format and platform to be admissible. Please note that any applications sent in any other way or before the window opens will not be considered.
The intern who makes it to the program is expected to adhere to the Code of Conduct they will sign at entry.
An InMySteps Internship runs for a minimum of 12 weeks ( or 3 calendar months) from the date of posting to the host organization, with a further 2 weeks split between pre-internship and exit stages.
ONLY interns who commit to run the full course are encouraged to apply for the opportunity. Permission to exit the programme before completion can be given in very specific cases such as ill-health, emigration, or any other that may be determined by the InMySteps Programme coordination team.
There should be no expectation of employment at the end of an internship. However, interns may be lucky to land organisations that are hiring someone of their qualifications at the time of their internship. An InMySteps internship is a valuable opportunity whose key priority is to equip one with the necessary skills to survive post-training as a foundation for one’s career.
